How everything happens

Preparation of documents
_
A civil wedding in the Dominican Republic requires the preparation of certain documents for both the groom and the bride, the main of which are:
_
- Birth certificates with Apostilles
- Sworn statements of being single with Apostilles
- Color scanned copies of valid passports
_
Each couple has its own nuances and many factors affect what additional documents may be required. For example, the country of birth and residence, whether this is the first marriage, whether the bride changed her last name, and much more. But for most weddings, the basic documents are sufficient. If you want to know all the details specifically for your case, just leave a request on our website in any way.
_
When the documents are ready, send us scanned copies of them in electronic form no later than a month before the date of the wedding, and do not forget to take the originals of these documents with you in the Dominican Republic. An important nuance: the official language in the Dominican Republic is Spanish, but you do not need to translate documents
_
After we translate and legalize your documents, we pay the state duty and book a wedding date with a judge, a person authorized to register marriages. After that, your civil wedding in the Dominican Republic is registered.
